Cell signalling and vesicular trafficking
Understanding how cells move together

PROJECTS
Collective cell migration plays a fundamental role during the development of pluricellular organisms and in wound healing, it is also involved in the dissemination of cancer cells during metastasis formation. Our overarching goal is to understand the molecular mechanisms regulating collective cell movements.
COORDINATING BORDER CELL MIGRATION
How do border cells coordinate their movements to perform an invasive migration in Drosophila egg chambers ?
SPATIOTEMPORAL CONTROL OF MIGRATION DETERMINANTS BY VESICULAR TRAFFICKING
What are the molecular regulators of vesicular trafficking that localize key determinants of cell migration during collective cell movements ?
REGULATION OF THE COLLECTIVE MIGRATION OF METASTATIC CELLS
Are the same mechanisms involved in border cell migration regulating the migration of cancer cells during metastasis formation ?
